ODESA, JANUARY 4th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — 14 ships designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa, were built in 2010, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 4 January, at the press service of the company.

According to the bureau, all in all under the projects of the company, shipyards build 7 multipurpose ships, 2 passenger ships, 1 railway ferry for the Black Sea, 1 cattle carrier, and 2 dirt boats.

The vessels were built in Russia (4 dry-cargo vessels, 2 passenger vessels), Ukraine (1 dry-cargo vessel, 2 scows, 1 ferry), Turkey (1 cattle carrier and 1 dry-cargo) and China (1 dry-cargo).

INFORMATION: OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau was registered on March, 23rd, 1995 in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys. They also prepare projects for increasing carrying and container capacities of ships and other related work.
