ODESA, FEBRUARY 3rd, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Flights from Odesa to Egypt have been suspended, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Maria Popovich, the spokes person of GE Odesa International Airport has informed the agency about it today, 3 February, in a telephone conversation.

According to her information, 2 February Windrose Airlines informed the airport they are suspending flights from Odesa to Egypt for a month, starting 12 February. The airline is expected to renew the flights on March 19. The company’s passengers who are now in Egypt will be delivered back to Odesa by regular flights 5 and 6 February.

Ukrainian International Airlines has also suspended flights to Sharm el-Sheikh planned for 3 February. All the passengers had been previously notified. According to the airlines, all flights from February 6 to February 27 have also been cancelled. The company will be providing additional charter flights to Antalya, Turkey, during this period. The passengers who are now in Egypt will be delivered back home 6 February.
