MYKOLAIV, FEBRUARY 26th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — 22 million US dollars were directly invested in enterprises of Mykolaiv Oblast in 2010, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 26 February, at the Chief Administration for Statistics in Mykolaiv Oblast.

According to their information, EU countries invested USD 18 million 400 thousand (83.4% of an overall), the investments from other countries made USD 2 million (9.3%), CIS countries invested USD 1 million 600 thousand (7.3%). Nearly all the investments were made in the form of money.

The largest amount was invested in the development of transport — USD 14 million 800 thousand, which is 67.2% of an overall amount.

In 2010 direct investments came from 19 countries. The largest investors were Cyprus and France (USD 15 million and USD 3 million 100 thousand respectively), the rest came from Azerbaijan, Barbados, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cuba, Kuwait, Netherlands, Panama, Russia, Saint Kitts and Nevis , Singapore, United Kingdom, USA and Turkey.

As of January 1 , 2011, an overall of direct foreign investments has made USD 181 million 200 thousand.

Approximately half of the investments were directed to the Mykolaiv city.
