ODESA, MARCH 15th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The possibility of founding Euroregional Employment Centre in the south of the Oblast discussed in Izmail, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 15 March, at the press service of Odesa Regional State Administration.

According to the press-service, on March 11, 2011, session of the profile commission on public health services and social sphere of Euroregion the Lower Danube and Associations of Transboundary cooperation Euroregion the Lower Danube took place in Izmail.

According to members of the committee, the problem of employment of the population is especially important. As though it was, but migration of our inhabitants all the same exists. Considering that Odesa Region ― frontier edge, was offered creation of the Euroregional centre of employment in the south of area which can provide the population with the necessary information concerning the labour legislation of the neighbouring countries, the new search engines of work actively practised in neighbouring countries, can acquaint with the necessary documentation for the potential worker», ― have informed in the press-service.

Also, besides other important questions, members of the given commission have offered creation of the Volontersky centre of Euroregion «Bottom Danube» in Reni for granting of social services to people of advanced age and youth.

INFORMATION: The Lower Danube Euroregion was created in 1998. It covers Odesa Oblast (Ukraine), districts Cahul and Cantemir (Moldova), Galaţi, Brăila, Tulcea (Romania). There exist 7 commissions within the organization: Regional Development Commission, Economic and Financial Audit Commission, Transport and Communications Commission, Environment and Emergency Situations Commission, Humanitarian Development and International Development Commission, Human Security and Crime Fighting Commission.

Since 2007 Odesa has been head the Euroregion for a 2-year term. In May, 2007 Head of Odesa Oblast Council was elected Head of the Council of Euroregion.

11 December 2009 President of the County Board of Galaţi Eugen Chebac was unanimously elected President of the General Assembly of Transboundary Cooperation of the Lower Danube Euroregion for a two-year term.
