ODESA, APRIL 19th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Consul General of Turkey to Odesa Mr Murat Tamer says as of today Turkish and Ukrainian coastguards are in tight cooperation, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Tamer stated it yesterday, 18 April, at a news conference, answering the question about the issue with poaching.

“Control activities have been intensified when Turkish schooners leave the country’s territorial waters. The amount of this sort of situations has gone down. As of today Turkish and Ukrainian coastguards are in tight cooperation. I will say what I have already said before, in these case the punishment should be adequate to the crime. Everything should be commensurable”, he said.
