ODESA, AUGUST 22nd, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Odesa athlete, Bronze winner at XXIX Summer Olympics in Beijing Yury Cheban has finished fourth at a canoeing championship in Hungary, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The sportsman told the agency about it today, 22 August, in a telephone conversation.
The athlete came fourth in a solitary canoe, 200 meters, and was left without a medal, but with the Olympic license. First place wins Valentin Demyanenko’s (Azerbaijan), Ivan Shtyl (Russia) won the silver, and Alfonso Benavides — the bronze.
He, in general, the Ukrainian team won one gold medal and three bronze medals and three Olympic license.
