ZNT Yard lays the second TG04M tug ship designed in Odesa

ODESA, SEPTEMBER 13th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — ZNT Yard has laid the second TG04M tug ship designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

MEB’s press service informed today, 13 September.

According to their information, shipbuilding plant ZNT Yard, Bor, Nizhny Novgorod, laid the lift project TG04M (yard number 702) M/V Portovyi 2.

The project is designed TG04M Marine Engineering Bureau.

The new tug is designed for: raid shunting to river vessels, floating cranes, ancillary works for berthing, allotment of berth, manipulation of barges and ships, ships in the arrangement sucks backwater during the spring floods, ice-breaking operations in the Dudinka River in Autumn, the alignment of self-propelled fleet in the winter.

A series of tugs (project TG04) is the first of a new generation of river tugs and pushers that are created to work on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation.

INFORMATION: OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau was registered on March, 23rd, 1995 in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys. They also prepare projects for increasing carrying and container capacities of ships and other related work.
