ODESA, SEPTEMBER 23rd, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Delegation form Odesa headed by Vice Mayor Ms Olena Pavlova participated in the festival of partner cities in Gdansk, Poland, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Odesa City Council Adinistration for Information informed the agency today, 23 September.

According to the Office, 15 — 17 September, a festival of partner cities was held in Gdansk.

South Palmyra’s cultural, tourism and investment potential was presented to all participants of the festival.

“Within the scope of the festival, the party from Odesa had a meeting with a delegation of the Finnish city of Turku, with the mayor of this city in the lead. Together with Tallinn the city is the cultural capital of Europe 2011. Representatives of Turku are interested in cooperation with Odesa. Including the exchange of experience on the formation of our cultural capital”, said Ms Pavlova.

In addition, the delegation visited Odesa Tourist Information Centre of Gdansk and talked with representatives of the Tourist Association and the city tourism department.

During the talks it was agreed to exchange information about cultural events and collaboration in the cultural sphere.
