Shipyard of brothers Nobel, Russia, lays the third RST25 tanker Yuliy Makarenkov

ODESA, NOVEMBER 2nd, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Shipyard of brothers Nobel, Russia, has laid the third RST25 tanker Yuliy Makarenkov designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Bureau informed today, 2 November.

The press service reported, yesterday 1 November, Shipyard of the Nobel brothers laid the keel of the third in a series of oil tankers (project RST25) Yuliy Makarenkov deadweight at sea/in the river — 6610/5130 tons respectively, meeting high environmental standards.

The plant is part of the holding company Moscow River Shipping Company, also being the operator of a series of three river-sea tankers.

The vessel wad named after the leaders of the Moscow River Shipping Company of the Soviet period.

A distinctive feature of the Vessel RST25 is it is used as a single means of movement and management of full-propeller-rudder, no longitudinal bulkhead in CL, the use of submersible pumps, complete lack of recruitment of the tanks developed trunk.

In comparison with a series of the Armada, the tanker has enhanced the new river function, increased by 410 tonnes deadweight in river conditions while maintaining the features in the sea.

Endurance — 20 days. The crew of 12 people (14 seats).

It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys. They also prepare projects for increasing carrying and container capacities of ships and other related work.
