ODESA, NOVEMBER 4th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Odesa Commercial Sea Port is planning to use the experience of their French colleagues as to forming the Common Information Community at the port, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 4 November, at the press service of the port.

According to the press service, Odesa Commercial Sea Port is planning to use experience of foreign colleagues in forming the Common Information Society at the port for clearance and processing of vehicles.

According to the Chief of Logistics and commercial work, Vyacheslav Voronoy the unified information system AP Plus, through which the whole process of clearance at all ports and airports in France, attracts special attention. The system was developed by MGI supported by the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Finance. It is integrated in the transmission control system of import and export EU and has over 25 years of operating experience. It includes regulatory authorities, port authorities, freight forwarders, agents, carriers, etc. That is, all those who in some way relates to the design and control of goods. Declaration and clearance of goods carried by the user of the system from his office.

Thanks to AP Plus they managed to get rid of paper work, reduce the time for clearance of goods, processing, transport, optimize transportation, reduce the cost of key players in the process, increase the productivity of the terminal.

“This system is attractive for both ports, and for its customers. If the AP Plus was introduced in Ukraine, we could solve many problems with the registration of goods, existing now. That would be number 1 event in the industry, which is much closer to us in European ports”, said Voronoy.
