ZNT Yard lays two ice-breaking tugs designed in Odesa

ODESA, DECEMBER 8th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — ZNT Yard, Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia, has laid two TG04M ice-breaking tugs designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Marine Engineering Bureau informed today, 8 December.

According to the press service, the new tugs have been designed for roadstead shunting operations in the river, floating cranes, ancillary works for berthing, drainage from the pier, manipulation of barges and ships, vessels in the arrangement sucks backwater during the spring flood, the alignment of self-propelled fleet for the winter holding anchorage.

A series of tugs under project TG04 is the first of a new generation of river tugs and pushers that are created to work on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation.

The tug is designed for operation at low temperatures.
