ODESA, DECEMBER 23rd, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Neva Shipyard lays the fifth multipurpose two-propeller ship with deadweight 7150 tons designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Marine Engineering Bureau informed today, 22 December.

The press service noted that the customer is JSC North-Western Shipping Company.

The vessels of the series can be used to transport general, timber, grain and bulk cargoes, goods of dangerous class.

The vessel features a large average length of 52 m of the main hold, allowing direct journeys to transport oversized cargo on the European—Caspian line, which should significantly affect the total financial result.

INFORMATION: OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau was registered on March, 23rd, 1995 in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys. They also prepare projects for increasing carrying and container capacities of ships and other related work.
