MYKOLAIV, JANUARY 10th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — State Enterprise Zorya-Mashproekt, Mykolaiv, has participated in a European pilot project, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the company informed today, 10 January.

According to the press service, on request of the Polish company European Silicon Sp., SE Zorya-Mashproekt produced and supplied an experimental gas turbine with a capacity of 2.5 MW. The unit is part of a new heat recovery system at the steel works.

The press service noted that the system of heat recovery designed by Polish experts in the framework of European programme aimed to reduce energy consumption and is designed for heat recovery burning gases of metallurgical furnaces. A minimum amount of fuel is necessary its operation.

The beginning of construction works is planned for February, and putting the system in operation for May 2012. Installations of this type can be used in various industrial processes, where heat must be disposed of, in particular, in metallurgy and chemical industry.
