ODESA, JANUARY 11th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — SE Yuzhny Commercial Sea Port has reached the highest turnover ever in its history, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the port informed today, 11 January.

According to the press service, in 2011 the turnover at SE Yuzhny Commercial Sea Port amounted to 22 million 639.1 thousand tons. This is the highest result in the history of the company. Before this the turnover record was considered to have been achieved in 2008 and amounted to 21 million 697.9 thousand tons. The highest in history was also the result of the general and marine terminals that operate in the port.

Throughout the year, the largest share in the range of processed goods belongs to ore — 10 million 379.4 thousand tons. Among the most-operated cargoes are urea, ammonia, and carbon. The volume of transit in comparison with 2010 increased by 35.4% to 10 million 552.5 thousand tons.
