ODESA, JANUARY 21st, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — P.F. — 2012 International Greeting Card Expo will open in Odesa 23 January, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Odesa City Council Information Office informed today, 21 January.

According to the Office, 23 January at 15:00, the Sixth Odesa and the Fourth International Photo Christmas Card Exhibitions PF — 2012 will open in Odesa. The author and coordinator is Mr Vadim Shuleko.

The opening ceremony will be held at the Exhibition Hall of Bleschunov Municipal Museum of Private Collections.

125 authors from 28 countries have participated in the project. The exhibition will feature over 212 works of authors from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Israel, Italy, Germany, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Syria, Nigeria, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, China, Canada, Korea, Poland, Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Hungary , Cuba, Mongolia, Portugal, France, Denmark and the United States. All the works are photographic, painting, drawing, collage, painting on glass, embroidered in colour and black and white.

INFORMATION: Postcard with the acronym PF began in XVIII century. Postscript «Rour feliciter» (for greeting) French artists have done for New Works-miniatures. This course quickly found followers and has become a tradition, gradually transformed into two capital letters «PF».

Photographers, borrowing the «idea» of New Year's greetings from his predecessors, gave the abbreviation «PF» its interpretation — «Greetings Photographer» Happy New Year.
