ODESA, FEBRUARY 15th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Director of the Odesa City Council Department for International Relations Svitlana Boeva thinks the official delegation of Odesa will be able to obtain Georgian experience as far as reforming is concerned during their visit to Tbilisi, Georgia, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Ms Boeva stated it today, 15 February, during a press conference dedicated to the official visit of the Odesa delegation to Georgia.

“We have been partners with the city of Tbilisi since 1996, but only thanks to this project there will be a strong impetus and we will be able to get Georgian experience of reforms”, said the director of the Department.

As previously reported, an official delegation of the Odesa City Council and most prominent business people will be visiting Tbilisi, Georgia, 1—2 March. The visit includes a conference with Prime Minister of Georgia Nikoloz Gilauri, a briefing with the Speaker of Parliament David Bakradze and Minister of Economy Veronika Kobalia, as well as several other events. In addition, there will be a business forum between representatives of municipal and business elites of Odesa and Georgia, the organization of thematic meetings of Odesa businessmen in various areas with potential business partners from Georgia. “The Georgian party is getting prepared. I can confidently say that this visit will take place at the highest level”, said the Consul General of Georgia in Odesa Teimuraz Nishnianidze.
