ODESA, FEBRUARY 16th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Odesa Mayor Oleksiy Kostusev has held an official meeting with Consul General of Georgia to Odesa Teimuraz Nishnianidze, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Odesa City Council Information Office informed today, 16 February.

According to the Office, during the meeting, the parties discussed the upcoming working visit of the official delegation of Odesa to Tbilisi, Georgia, whose goal is to establish direct economic, cultural and social ties between the city administrations of Odesa and Tbilisi, to study the results of the reforms in Georgia, to familiarize with Georgia’s investment appeal, to provide business contacts between businessmen of both countries.

Oleksiy Kostusev accepted the invitation of Consul General of Georgia to Odesa to lead the delegation.

As previously reported, an official delegation of the Odesa City Council and most prominent business people will be visiting Tbilisi, Georgia, 1—2 March. The visit includes a conference with Prime Minister of Georgia Nikoloz Gilauri, a briefing with the Speaker of Parliament David Bakradze and Minister of Economy Veronika Kobalia, as well as several other events. In addition, there will be a business forum between representatives of municipal and business elites of Odesa and Georgia, the organization of thematic meetings of Odesa businessmen in various areas with potential business partners from Georgia. “The Georgian party is getting prepared. I can confidently say that this visit will take place at the highest level”, said the Consul General of Georgia in Odesa Teimuraz Nishnianidze.
