Consul General of Russia to Odesa: Russian citizens can vote in 156 countries of the world

ODESA, MARCH 2nd, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Consul General of Russia to Odesa Mr Yuriy Antonov has informed Russian citizens will be able to vote at the Presidential Election of Russia in 156 countries of the world, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The envoy stated today, 2 March, during a press conference.

“A total of 156 countries will be offering Russian citizens a possibility to vote, participate in presidential elections. Another feature of the upcoming elections in Russia is that at each polling station a web camera will be installed and it will be taking account of the electoral process and vote counting”, he said.

Mr Antonov also stressed that the Russian Consulate General in Odesa invites Russian citizens permanently or temporarily residing in the consular district (Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kirovohrad regions) to vote at the election.

4 March, the ballot will be held from 08:00 to 20:00 at the polling station number 5281 at the Consulate General of Russia in Odesa (Gagarinske Plateau, 14), mobile voting locations will also be available from 10:00 to 16:00 in the city of Mykolaiv in the Indoor Regional Art Russian Drama Theatre (Admiralska St., 27) and from 10:00 to 15:00 Kherson Oblast Puppet Theatre (40-st Anniversary of the October St., 8).

To participate in the vote the voter must present a passport or another document proving their identity and proof of Russian citizenship.
