ODESA, MARCH 2nd, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Consul General of Russia to Odesa Mr Yuriy Antonov says Odesa’s Programme for Development and Preservation of the Russian language is appealing to him, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Consul stated today, 2 March, during a press conference.

“The matter with the study of the Russian language in Odesa is going very well. The Russian language is quite common in the city and region. I am very impressed with the Odesa city Programme for Development and Preservation of the Russian language. It, of course, still requires a number of clarifications and changes, but its existence is, indeed, a serious step”, he said.
