NIKOLAEV, JUNE, 26TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The Ukrainian-American naval trainings «Sea Breeze — 2008» which are set to be carried out in the end of summer, will have an exclusively peace-making and humanitarian character, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

It was stated by the vice-commander of Navies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, vice-admiral Victor Maksimov on an official site of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

«During the trainings the general actions of naval, overland, landing and special subitems of fleet of the different countries of the world will be fulfilled at planning and carrying out of peace-making and humanitarian operations. It will promote increase of a level of compatibility of militarians and also coordination of actions of officers of a multinational staff», — V. Maksimov has noted.

An active phase of present maneuvers will be carried out on the territory of Odessa, Nikolaev regions and Autonomous republic Crimea, informs the press-service of Ministry of Defence.

Representatives of 15 countries are set to take part in the international peace-making action (Azerbaijan, Belgium, Armenia, the Great Britain, Georgia, Greece, Denmark, Canada, Latvia, Macedonia, Germany, the USA, Turkey, France and Ukraine).

Military men from 13 countries except for the Ukrainian and American parties are expected to participate in «Sea Breeze-2008» (Azerbaijan, Belgium, Armenia, the Great Britain, Georgia, Greece, Denmark, Canada, Latvia, Macedonia, Germany, Turkey and France).

As the Ukrainian mass-media informed, on April, 11th the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed the Law «On the admission of armed forces divisions of other countries on territory of Ukraine in 2008 for participation in multinational military trainings». According to this law, carrying out of 9 trainings with participation of the Ukrainian military men outside the territory of Ukraine and 11 military trainings in territory of Ukraine, including «Sea Breeze — 2008 are stipulated in 2008.
