MYKOLAIV, APRIL 4th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — European Silicon Sp, Poland, is considering Zorya-Mashproekt as a probable partner in creating a steam-gas plant, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Sorya-Mashproekt informed today, 4 April.

According to the press service, Zorya-Mashproekt was attended by representatives of the Polish company European Silicon Sp. The purpose of their visit was to familiarize with the new engine having 45—60 MWt capacity, which is currently being tested. The new product was designed to meet the needs of the energy industry.

European Silicon Sp specializes in developing innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption in production processes. In particular, it has been developing technology solutions to create energy-efficient electric furnaces for the production of alloys with high silicon content.

The Polish company is considering Zoria-Mashproekt as a possible partner to create a combined-cycle plant based on the new engine, the use of which will halve the cost of fuel in the production cycle of metallurgical enterprises, and to ensure energy safety. The project is being developed within the framework of the EU energy development in Poland.

Zoria-Mashproekt already has experience cooperating with European Silicon Sp. The Mykolaiv company is involved in a pilot project to establish a system utilizing heat of burning gases of metallurgical furnaces. Zorya-Mashproekt’s project supplied the Polish partner with a gas turbine installation of 2.2 MWt capacity. Putting the system into operation is scheduled for May 2012.
