BASPA sitting being held in Odesa

ODESA, MAY 29th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The sitting of the Black and Azov Sea Ports Association is being held in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Odesa Commercial Sea Port informed today, 29 May.

According to the press service, on May 29 in the port of Odesa opened a meeting of the Council of the Association of the Black and Azov Seas BASPA. The meeting, which is chaired by the 1st Vice President of the Association Gennady Skvortsov (Ukraine) is attended by over 30 representatives of the major Black Sea ports and companies engaged in the port business, from Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Ukraine.

INFORMATION: Black and Azov Sea Ports Association was established in 2000 as an international, non-governmental, non-commercial organization stimulating development and strengthening of business cooperation between the Black Sea Countries. Commercial Seaport Yuzhny (Ukraine) has joined the Black and Azov Sea Ports Association, the port informs. The Association unites the ports of Bulgaria, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine. Apart form Yuzhny, the Association includes the ports of Illichivsk, Odesa and Reni. BASPA is an international non-governmental organization contributing to partnership and cooperation between the ports of the Black Sea region as well as to information exchange between the parties.
