ODESA, JULY 30th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Weightlifter from Odesa wins 5th place at the Olympics in London, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reported today, 30 July.

According to the press service, in weightlifting (weight category to 53 kg) Ukraine was represented by Y. Paratova, Odesa. Despite the successful third attempt in the jerk with which the Ukrainian lifted 108 kg weight, the general result was not affected. In the snatch Yulia succumbed to 91 kg. The result of 199 kg and the 5th place.

The press service added that Olympics champion in this weight category was Zulfiya Chinshanlo from Kazakhstan, who managed to set a world record clean and jerk ― 131 kg, and the Olympic record for the double-event ― 226 kg. The Silver went to a representative of Taiwan Su Shu Chin (210 kg), the Bronze ― Christine Iova, Moldova (219 kg).
