ODESA, AUGUST 28th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― BC Khimik loses in favour of the German BC Oldenburg in the first friendly game in Slovenia, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of BC Khimik reported today, 28 August.

According to the press service, BC Khimik, Yuzhny, completed a two-week physical collections and began training games including friendlies at the training camp in Slovenia. Khimik’s first sparring partner was Oldenburg, Germany.

The team from Yuzhny in this match could test their strength without a number of players. Suad Shehovich is in the Montenegrin team, Devo Joseph was called to the Canadian team, and Vernon Goodridge did not play in this game because of a minor injury. Two Ukrainians Sergiy Popov and Oleksandr Prokopenko did not participate in the match either. The game ended in favour of the German club 61:56. One of Khimik’s most valuable players in this match was Artem Pustovoy, whose ability to play as a centre, were marked by the coaching staff of the club, the press-service informed.

INFORMATION: BC Khimik is a Ukrainian professional basketball club based in Yuzhny, Ukraine. The club plays in the Ukrainian Basketball Super League. In the year 2006, the club reached the final of the EuroCup Challenge, where Khimik was defeated by Ural Great Perm.
