ODESA, SEPTEMBER 1st, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― An alley in honour of the sister cities ― Odesa, Nicosia and Larnaca was founded yesterday, 31 August, at the Gagarin Plateau in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

During the opening of the alley Odesa Mayor Oleksiy Kostusev said, “There was a joyful and pleasant event ― we laid the foundation for the Alley of the twin cities of Nicosia and Larnaca. I want to emphasize that in Larnaca there is already a park of Odesa. Today, I am pleased to welcome the mayor, who pledged this park. Today Odesa, in return, has founded this great alley. And, of course, I want to express my deep gratitude and respect to Honorary Consul of the Republic of Cyprus, who initiated this good cause and who created this remarkable diplomatic club where we are, there is nothing like it in the entire CIS.”
