ODESA, NOVEMBER 22nd, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Deputy Director of the EU Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr Volodymyr Bachynsky has noted, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in general satisfied with the EUBAM work, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mr Volodymyr Bachynsky reported today, 22 November, during the press conference according to the results of the 19th Advisory Board Meeting (ABM) of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM).

“The work of the mission was very productive. Ukraine considers EUBAM as a very important tool for advice and technical assistance on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. The assistance, provided by the mission to Ukraine, is very important in the context of our country’s promotion on the path of European integration, and in the context of the realization the criteria for visa liberalization”, he said.

INFORMATION: The EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) was launched on 30 November 2005 at the joint request of the Presidents of the Republic Moldova and Ukraine. EUBAM is an EU mission fully funded by the European Union. It is an advisory, technical body. It has no executive powers. The Mission aims to make a sustainable contribution to the delivery of good quality border and customs services to the citizens and companies of Moldova and Ukraine to facilitate contacts and trade.
