ODESA, JANUARY 14th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― In January-March, the XVIIІ “Spirit of Ellada is with us” painting and drawing contest for children will be taking place in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The contest is organized by Odesa Greek Culture Foundation Branch Office.

The works should be dedicated to the National holiday of the Renaissance of Greece ― March 25. They should reflect the personal opinion of the author about Greece, knowing its history, culture and folk traditions.

The competition is open to children 7-15 years old. Children up to 6 years old are out of the competition.

The works will be accepted on March 4 – 15, at Odesa Greek Culture Foundation Branch Office.

The jury consists of renowned artists, honoured artists, teachers, and employees of Odesa Greek Culture Foundation Branch Office.

Regardless of the age, there are five runner-up prizes established, including four awards to children, and one prize for the team, organization: for the idea; for the imagination; for the original performance; for expression; for the collection of children's works presented.

Traditionally, 10 children under 6 years old, inclusive, whose work in this group recognized as the best, will be awarded prizes and diplomas without competition.

The winner s will be awarded the end of March 2013.

Exhibition of the contest’s best works will be held from March 24, 2013 in Odessa Greek Culture Foundation Branch Office.
