MYKOLAIV, JANUARY 31st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Pupil of the sports complex of the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant in the top five karate fighters in the world, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the South-Ukraine NPP reported today, 31 January.

According to the press service, Anastasia Fursa showed the fourth result at the First World Cup Karate Kyokushin Tournament (Kyokushin World Federation (KWF)).

The tournament took place on 20 January in Japan (Chiba). It was attended by more than 700 representatives from 17 countries. The Ukrainian team consisted of four athletes: three men (16, 26 and 47 years old) and one 16-year-old girl ― Anastasia Fursa.

The press service noted A. Fursa had three fights and won two of them. During the third fight the young athlete was injured and missed opponent kick.

“To be the fourth in the World Championship, and not just anywhere, but in Japan ― the home of karate, and despite the fact that 600 participants presented this country ― not just good, but great result”, the coach and teacher of karate sports complex SUNPP Oleg Vitkovskiy noted.
