ODESA, FEBRUARY 1st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Odesa Commercial Sea Port has taken part in the international seminar of cruise ports Mediterranean Cruise workshop in Heraklion, Greece, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to the press service, MedCruise’s members met the Cruise Lines on a second edition of the two days workshop in Heraklion, Greece. The organizer of the event was the Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports.

The Head of the Tourism Department of SE “OCSP” Vladislav Markov attended the seminar.

According to Mr Markov, during the Med Cruise Workshop meetings the problematic issues of the services of cruise ships in ports: pricing and tariffs, relationships between port authorities and the management of the cruise lines, the quality organization of liners’ service, prohibiting of the monopolization of services, priority placement of ships in conditions of the berths’ workload were discussed.

During the seminar, Mr Markov held a number of meetings with representatives of the famous cruise lines Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Louis Cruises, etc. The purpose of these meetings was the promotion of the brand of the Odesa port and other passenger harbour on the Black Sea region to the world cruise market.
