ODESSA, JULY 18, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of United States of America in Ukraine William Taylor will arrive to Odessa on the Day of the city, on September 2, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

As it was informed to the agency today, on July, 18, by the information department of the Odessa city council, W. Taylor gave such a promise yesterday, on July, 17, during a meeting with city Mayor Eduard Gurvits.

According to the information department, an invitation has already been sent to the Embassy of the USA in Kiev.

Eduard Gurvits informed a visitant about the planned holiday preparations. «The main thing is that the weather had not let down. Well in the case of unexpected atmospheric surprises — there are some technical feasibilities which allow bringing the required correctives».

The deputy chief of a municipal government of the international relations Svetlana Boeva has noted that owing to William Taylor's efforts, communications of Odessa and a twin-city Baltimore become more active.

«We find more and more than friends in the United States. We hope for the further help from mister ambassador», — she has noted.

USA Businessmen who work in Odessa, according to S.Boeva would like «to develop first of all economic cooperation but Odessa is also the center of a science and culture therefore we wish to concentrate on these directions also».
