ODESA, FEBRUARY 15th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Considerable attention during Ukrainian-United States military exercises See Breeze 2013 will be paid to the contractors’ preparation, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The media service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported today, 15 February.

According to Co-director of Ukrainian-US exercises See Breeze 2013 the Captain 1st Rank Ihor Teriohin, during the joint Ukrainian-American exercises Sea Breeze-2013 will be paid a significant consideration to military training of contract soldiers.

As Mr Teriohin noted, ships and units of special forces, almost staffed with contract soldiers, will participate in the upcoming naval exercises. For the most effective training it is planned joint training, exercises, visits to ships of the participating countries.

“We are interested in ensuring that our contractors have an experience of cooperation with their colleagues from other countries and apply the knowledge and skills during the subsequent service in the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, Mr Teriohin added.

Also co-director of the exercises said that at this stage the discussion of the grouping, areas and episodes of the exercises are virtually completed. The participants of the conference detailed these episodes, calculated the budget, conducted reconnaissance of the area, defined the schedule of events, completed basic documents (exercises plan, operating command), worked on the mistakes and the shortcomings identified in previous exercises.

“The main events of Sea Breeze 2013 we have developed on the basis of those security threats that exist now, in particular with regard to conduct anti-terrorist, anti-piracy operations, humanitarian actions”, Ihor Teriohin emphasized.
