ODESA, MARCH 7th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The official designer of OIFF 2013 will be KamenskaKononova, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

This year the official designer of the 4-th Odesa International Film Festival will be the brand Kamenskakononova ― one of the most promising designer brands of CIS, ‘Best Women’s Clothing Designer' and 'Best Accessories Designer' according to Best Fashion Awards 2012.

Every year the president of OIFF Viktoria Tigipko traditionally wears dresses from Ukrainian designers on the red carpet. This year the collections of outfits for Victoria’s appearances at the key festival events will be designed by KamenskaKononova – young, but already respectable Ukrainian brand.

Natalia Kamenskaya and Olesya Kononova create very cinematic clothing that has something in common with silent movies – you can express a lot with just one dress. I like their interpretation of classic in ultra-modern context. This ideology of the brand coincides with the OIFF spirit – multifaceted cinema event, where film classics at Potemkin stairs coexists with the newest films in the festival program, and the solemnity of opening and closing ceremonies — with the democracy of Summer Film School, severity of professional section and bohemian festival parties. Outfits from KamenskaKononova would be appropriate absolutely everywhere’ – Victoria Tigipko commented on the choice of the official designer of OIFF this year.

For instance, Charlie Kaufman works. We are in love with works of Michel Gondry, Paul Thomas Anderson, Darren Aronofsly. And, of course, costumes are in a league of their own! Christian Dior, Elsa Schiaparelli, Paco Rabanne, Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier – just to name a few. That's why becoming the official fashion designer of OIFF is quite an event for us. We are happy to be closer to the cinema and are open for new cooperation.”

As part of 32-th Ukranian Fashion Week autumn-winter 2013/2014, which will be held from 6 till 16 March at museum complex “Mistetsky Arsenal”, a stand of OIFF will be presented, embassy of the festival, where you will be able to get fresh information about filmforum and buy festival passes as well.
