Jos Stelling, Jiri Menzel, Roger Corman, Stefan Dressler to carry out master classes during OIFF Summer Film School

ODESA, MARCH 20th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Jos Stelling, Jiri Menzel, Roger Corman, Stefan Dressler will carry out master classes during the IV OIFF Summer Film School, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

General Director of the OIFF Denis Ivanov reported yesterday, 19 March, during the press conference.

“The Dutch director Jos Stelling will visit the IV Odesa Film Festival. He had already been in Odesa in 2010 as a head of the International Jury of the I OIFF. The director will present the premiere of his new film “The Girl and Death”, starring Renata Litvinova and Sergei Makovetsky. Jos Stelling as well as other honoured guests of OIFF 2013, American “King of cult films” Roger Corman, “Czech national treasure” Jiri Menzel and the director of the Munich Film Museum Stefan Drössler, will conduct workshops for the students of the OIFF Summer Film School. Jiri Menzel will present his film “Trains under close supervision” and Stefan Dressler will give his famous lecture on 12 different historical systems of 3D format ― “A Brief History of 3D movies”, which he presented for the first time at the Congress of the International Federation of Film Archives in Tokyo in 2007. Also, of course, we will not let Emir Kusturica go without a master class”, Denis Ivanov noted.

“In addition, as part of the non-competition demonstration a film by director Gyorgy Palfi “The Final Cut”, a special show of which was held at the International Film Festival 2012 in Cannes. This is a film about love, tells the story of a man and a woman. The film was made from 500 films in a film-collage”, he added.

As previously reported, the IV Odesa International Film Festival will be held through 12 ― 20 July 2013.
