ODESA, MARCH 21st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― 28 athletes from Odesa will participate in XXII Summer Deaflympic games, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Odesa Regional State Administration reported today, 21 March.

According to the press service, in 2013, athletes from the Odesa region in the national team of Ukraine will take part in the XXII Summer Deaflympics and IX World Games for non-Olympic sports.

XXII Summer Deaflympics will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, through 26 July ― 4 August, 2013. They will be attended by about 3 thousand 500 athletes with hearing impairment from nearly 80 countries.

The programme will include 18 sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, bowling, cycling, football, judo, karate, orienteering, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Odesa athletes are planning to participate in 8 types.

World Games for non-Olympic sports will be held in Cali, Colombia, through 25 July ― 4 August, 2013. The compulsory programme will include 30 sports and performances, which may include sports, not participating in the main programme.
