KHERSON, APRIL 8th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― VI International Festival “kRock u Maybutne” will be held in the Youth Day, 29 June, in Kherson, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Office of Public Relations, Kherson City Council reported today, 8 April.

According to the information, the decision of the festival’s holding in the Youth Day, the organizing committee took upon an initiative of the acting Kherson Mayor Zoya Berezhnaya after a detailed analysis of the attractiveness of the city for visitors.

“Taking into account the need for the development of tourism in the region, these events, which will occur at the beginning of the holiday season, will attract more and more visitors in Kherson... And it will promote the development of an extensive tourist infrastructure of the city and region ― museums, hotels and souvenir business of catering, transport, etc.”, the office noted.

“The festival has grown out of the small-town level and crossed a line of purely cultural event. Henceforth, Kherson council, together with the management of the festival will fund and conduct is as a popular international festival”, Zoya Berezhnaya noted during the meeting with members of organizing committee.

INFORMATION: The objective of the festival competition is to bring together efforts of composers, musicians, mass media, the public and authorities to search for and support young performers, to popularize the best pieces of modern rock music, to contribute into strengthening of friendly relations among young people of various countries, enhance tolerance of relations among representatives of all peoples and nations who live both in Ukraine and beyond. Assistance to preserving creative originality of all national minorities, which Ukraine unites as one family in its territory.
