ODESA, APRIL 11th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― A native of Moldova, who established a channel for illegal migration to Ukraine, has been sentenced by Velikomikhaylovskoe District Court of Odesa region to 5 years in prison, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press centre of the Security Service of Ukraine reported today, 11 April.

According to the press centre, by a final judgment of the Velikomikhaylovskoe district court of Odesa region in the criminal case against the organizer of the channel smuggling persons across the state border of Ukraine. The investigation was conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine.

That 29-year-old man with no nationality, a native of the Republic of Moldova, looked for foreigners without appropriate documents wishing to cross the territory of Ukraine. The man offered a cash reward to send them outside the set points through the state border of Ukraine.

In May 2012, near the village of Slavyanoserbka of Velikomikhaylovskoe district of Odesa region SSU together with border guards detained the organizer and five foreigners, trying to illegally cross the border.

By the sentence of the court, the organizer of the smuggling of persons across the state border of Ukraine is found guilty of an offense under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code, and was sentenced to five years in prison.
