ODESA, APRIL 18th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― A sea cruise “Six resort capitals of the Black Sea” will start from Odesa port in June this year, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reported yesterday, 17 April.

The cruise has been arranged by the national Black & Baltic Seas cruise company (B&BS cruise company), and the voyage will be conducted at “Adriana” vessel, chartered from Adriana Shipping LTD.

According to “Export-Tour” Company General Manager and President of the Saint-Petersburg Cruise Market Members Association Igor Rurikov, the cruise route will go via Odesa, Sevastopol, Feodosiya, Yalta, Anapa, and Sochi. According to preliminary estimates, 14 calls will be made to each of 6 cities during the summer season, transporting approximately 4 thousand tourists.

Mr Rurikov believes that the need in the launch of an internal cruise line in the Black Sea will be of great demand due to the general growth of the cruise market and the increased demand for visa-free tours.

According to him, the most crucial trend for the cruise tourism development in the Black Sea basin consists in the renovation of the cruise shipping, focused on the internal market of the Black Sea countries.

“The Black Sea cruises can be a great alternative to river cruises and beach holiday on the coast,” Mr Rurikov noted.
