ODESA, APRIL 19th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The Chairman of Odesa Regional State Administration Eduard Matviychuk has had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Ukraine Arja Makkonen, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Odesa Regional State Administration reported yesterday, 18 April.

According to the information, during the meeting the Ambassador was particularly interested in the economic situation of the Odesa region. Also she expressed interest of the Finnish side in investing in the region.

“According to experts, the Odesa region is attractive for investment. The reason for that ― we always help, and protect our investors,” Mr Matviychuk said.

The Governor added that “the opening of numerous investment projects as varnish-and-paint plant, grain handling system “Brooklyn-Kiev”, the resumption of work of the Odesa oil refinery is evidence of the fact that the Odesa region actually creates favorable conditions for the arrival of investment.”

“After the meeting, Ambassador of Finland and Head of the State Administration agreed to continue the practice of discussion opportunities for further cooperation,” added the press-service.
