ODESA, APRIL 19th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― An international exchange of experiences in the field of public control over local budgets in the three post-Soviet countries ― Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan has been held 17-18 April in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The organizers of the meeting, the Centre for Political Studies and Analysts (Kyiv), with the assistance of the Institute of Political Information (Odesa) reported yesterday, 18 April.

According to the organizers, “April 17-18, an international exchange of experiences in the field of the public control over local budgets in the three post-Soviet countries ― Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was held in Odesa. The aim of this international meeting with the participation of representatives of three countries was the exchange of the innovative practices in the field of the budgets monitoring of local community organizations and government accountability.”

So, during a meeting in Odesa the issues related to the lack of openness of budgeting in Odesa region and Odesa in particular were discussed.
