ODESA, APRIL 16th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Shabo Company has participated in the international exhibition of wine Vinitaly (Verona, Italy), Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to the press service, 7 ― 10 April, “Industrial and Trading Company Shabo” became a member of prestigious international exhibition of wine and spirits “Vinitaly-2013” (Verona, Italy).

“At the stand of the Odesa region the company Shabo presented its products ― high quality wines of Shabo, which have become a trademark of Ukraine and successfully demonstrated the potential of the wine of the Odesa region and the unique terroir of Shabo. It is worthy of note that for winemakers of Odesa region it is the first experience of participation in such a prestigious international exhibition,” the press-service noted.

For 4 days of exhibition’s work, the company's representatives introduced the wines of Shabo to thousands of visitors ― residents of Verona. It is known that Vinitaly is visited by about 140 thousand people from 120 countries around the world. Visitors-side expressed an increased interest in products of a new player in Europe ― Ukrainian company Shabo.

“Visitors of Vinitaly-2013 noted the high quality of the wines of “Reserve Shabo” collection. In addition, within the exhibition still and sparkling white wines of Shabo were presented at a popular tasting contest Fish and Wine, the results of which will be announced in May 2013. The exhibition Vinitaly-2013 fully confirmed its status as one of the most authoritative sites in Europe for a comprehensive presentation of the achievements of viticulture and wine-making world, a successful professional interaction of wine community,” the press service noted.

Representatives of Shabo were held a series of meetings aimed primarily at strengthening the Ukrainian-Italian relations. For example, the exhibition was visited by the President of the “Italy-Ukraine Association” Giuseppe Laghezza Masci, the activity of which is aimed at facilitating in trade agreements between entrepreneurs of our countries.

Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Liguria also presented at the wine tasting. Besides “Chardonnay Reserve Shabo” and “Merlot Reserve Shabo”, guests emphasized the high quality of sparkling wines “Brut White Shabo Classic” and “Extra Brut White Shabo Classic”.

During the meeting it was agreed to establish long-term friendly and trade relations between Ukraine and Italy, starting with a balanced holding of the event ― an exhibition of the best Italian wines in Odesa.

Consul of Ukraine in Liguria expressed a desire to form a delegation from the winemakers and distributors in Italy and visit “Wine Cultural Centre Shabo” in the near future.
