ODESA, APRIL 24th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― X international football tournament among the teams of journalists of hero cities of the CIS will be held April 26-29 in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The tournament organizers reported yesterday, 23 April.

According to the organizers, “the first football tournament among the teams of journalists of hero cities of CIS countries was held in 2003 in Volgograd. At that time teams representatives signed a memorandum on the organization of this event... Since 2005, the tournament moved to Odesa, where it is held on the eve of the celebrations, dedicated to the Victory Day. This year it will be held from 26 to 29 April on the training base of FC “Chornomorets”.

The confirmations of participation in the tournament have been already sent by teams of Minsk, Brest, Moscow, Tula, Volgograd, Krasnodar Krai, and Bryansk. Competitors-colleagues from Lithuania also were invited. Their presence gives the status of the open tournament.

The organizer of the event is Odessa regional organization of the National union of journalists of Ukraine headed by Yuriy Rabotin.

Competitions are held with the support of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Odesa Regional State Administration, the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Odesa City Council, FC Chornomorets, Odesa Regional Football Federation, the charity fund “Veselka”, the club “Odin”.
