KHERSON, MAY 16th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― More than 40 airlines and tour operators have participated in the International Conference “Air Gates of Tavria”, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to the press service, among the participants are the representatives of the airlines “Bucovina”, “Motor-Sich”, “Urga”, “Aerocharter”, “Aerostar”, “Mars RK”, “Turkish airlines”, “Prostor Avia” and others.

The Chairman of the Regional State Administration Mykola Kostyak and the Chairman of the Regional Council Viktor Pelykh presented the development opportunities of the air transport and logistics process of the Kherson region.

As the region’s leaders noted, the airport “Kherson” is one of the most important links in the chain of logistics processes in the region, among them ― Kherson river port, sea port, railway station, etc. The important factor is that the restoration of the airport “Kherson” will be a starting point and can play a big role in the establishment of a partnership between the Tavricheskiy Kray and the Russia regions and near-abroad countries.
