Opinion: The most important contact of the Odesa region and Poland is an exchange of students
12:01 / 17.05.2013

ODESA, MAY 17th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Chairman of the Odesa Regional Council Mykola Pundyk has stated that the most important contact of the Odesa region and Poland is an exchange of students, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Mykola Pundyk noted it yesterday, 16 May, during the meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine H.E. Mr. Henryk Litwin.

“We can speak a lot about the relations between Ukraine and Poland, the Odesa region and Polish regions. Odesa region has relationships with 5 territories of Poland. I am very pleased that, during the Euro 2012 I led an official delegation to Mazovia...” Mr Pundyk noted.

“We have a great number of plans with regions of Poland. And these plans are not just some intentions on paper, but they are gradually and consistently implementing. I am sure that in addition to economic and political contacts, the most important contact in our lives is the exchange of children ― children, pupils and students of the Odesa region travel to Poland and the pupils and students from Poland come to Odesa and the region. This is the most important thing that we do. Because they are smarter than us, better than us, the more they communicate with each other, the better they understand each other...” he added.
