ODESA, MAY 22nd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Days of Poland will be celebrated in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Odesa City Council Information Office reported today, 22 May.

The celebration programme includes flowers laying ceremonies, Polish cuisine festival, football cup etc.

In order to develop cooperation between Ukraine and Poland and to tighten the bounds with Odesa’s Polish sister and partner cities, with the assistance of Odesa City Mayor Oleksiy Kostusev the Days of Poland will be celebrated in Odesa on May 23 – 25, 2013.

On May 23, flowers will be festively laid to the monument to Adam Mickiewicz and to the Memorial plaque to Lech Kaczynski.

On May 23 — 25, Polish cuisine festival will be taking place in Odesa’s City Garden.

Numerous Polish music concerts will be held during those days, including a piano music concert and Polish Diaspora national ensembles concert.

Besides, the finals of the Consul General of the Polish Republic in Odesa Football Cup will be held (May 24); modern icons vernissage will take place in Literature Museum (May 23); “Polish Odesa” touristic route contest will be held (May, 24); and the Day of Aurochs will be celebrated in Odesa Zoo (May 25).
