ODESA, MAY 22nd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― A resident of Izmail of Odesa region, participant of the VIII World Championship Aquice-Sport Ivan Papushenko will participate in the first intercontinental swimming relay from Eurasia to America across the Bering Strait, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Sevastopol winter swimming club “Walrus USSR” reported today, 22 May.

According to the press service, the swimming race will take place in July and August 2013. This nationwide campaign, dedicated to the explorers of Bering Strait, will be attended by 30 world's strongest swimmers.

Besides the President of the Association of walruses of Ukrainian Danube, the USSR master of sports of wrestling Ivan Papushenko, the chairman of the Sevastopol walrus club “Petrel”, vice-president of the Crimean winter swimming federation and hardening Viktor Piskunov will present Ukraine in the combined world team.
