ODESA, MAY 23rd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The delegation of the Odesa National Mechnikov University, headed by Rector Igor Koval has visited the People's Republic of China, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of ONU reported today, 23 May.

According to the press service, the trip was at the invitation of the Ministry of Education of China and with the assistance of the Consulate General of China in Odesa. The rector of ONU Igor Koval reached a number of important agreements with leading universities in China including top leaders of the leading universities in the world.

So, the rector of ONU arranged an agreement on multilateral cooperation with the president of the State University of Qingdao Mr Wang Anmin. In prospect ― to exchange experiences on current issues in biotechnology, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical chemistry, ecology, physics.

“The experience of scientific schools, training bases of our universities demonstrates the need for a versatile research and educational dialogue of students and researchers of the two countries,” Mr Koval said.

The Heads of institutions stated that they are interested in bilateral internships of graduate and students: in China and in Ukraine.

Igor Koval invited the officials of the Qingdao University to Odesa to sign a cooperation agreement. The visit is planned for the autumn this year.

Rector of ONU also met with the leadership of Beijing, Zhejiang University (Hangzhou) and Fudan University (Shanghai).
