Margarita Popova and Anton Kisse open the Centre for Bulgarian studies at KNU Shevchenko

ODESA, MAY 27th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Vice-President of Bulgaria Margarita Popova and people’s deputy of Ukraine Anton Kisse have opened the Centre for Bulgarian studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the people’s deputy reported today, 27 May.

According to the press service, “the visit of Vice President of Bulgaria Margarita Popova, who arrived in Ukraine at the invitation of the People's Deputy of Ukraine, the President of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine Anton Kisse, continued in Kyiv. 26 May, Bulgarian guest and accompanying delegation laid flowers at the monument to Cyril and Methodius, Princess Olga and Saint Andrew, and then arrived at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

After meeting with the rector of the university Petro Bekh, in the presence of university students, faculty members, Mrs Popova, Anton Kisse, and Petro Bekh opened the Centre for Bulgarian studies at the university.

Welcoming the guests, rector of the university emphasized the importance of the event and thanked the people without whom such a centre would not exist. One of the main sponsors of the project was the Member of Parliament, President of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine Anton Kisse.
