ODESA, JUNE 10th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― 25 athletes from Odesa will take part in XXII Summer Deaflympics -2013, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Head of the Department for Physical Training and Sports of Odesa Regional State Administration Yuri Povolotsky stated today, 10 June, during the operational meeting of Odesa RSA.

“XXII Summer Deaflympics will be held in Sofia (Bulgaria) trough 26 July ― 4 August. They will be attended by about 3 thousand 500 hearing impaired athletes from nearly 80 countries. About 25 athletes from the Odesa region will participate, and we hope they will bring medals of different denominations,” Mr Povolotsky noted.

“The programme will include 18 sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, bowling, cycling, football, judo, karate, orienteering, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball and wrestling,” the Head of the Department added.
