ODESA, OCTOBER 3rd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — The Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity and European Integration of Odesa Regional State Administration Anastasia Andronova has stated that the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013 is focusing on creating the conditions for investment activities, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

ENPI CBC Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013 provides the framework for the implementation of cross border activities in the context of the European Neighbourhood Policywith the aim to prevent the emergence of new dividing lines between EU and its neighbours and to offer the partner countries the opportunity to participate in various EU activities, through greater political, security, economic and cultural co-operation. Partners agreed that co-operation will build on mutual commitment to common values within the field of law, good governance, the respect for human rights, the promotion of good neighbourly relations, and the principles of market economy and sustainable development.

“The programme’s goal is the creation of an enabling environment for investment through international technical assistance. The participants of the programme can not be profitable enterprises, only civil society organizations, local governments, educational institutions. In other words, we create the conditions for investment, but do not attract investment,” Mrs Andronova noted.
