14:30 / 04.11.2013

ODESA, NOVEMBER 4th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Director of the Regional Branch of the National Institute for Strategic Studies in Odesa Artem Fylypenko has stated that if the Association Agreement between Ukraine with the European Union is signed, it will be necessary to change the Ukrainian legislation, in particular regarding ports, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Artem Fylypenko noted 31 October during the international business forum “Danube synergy”.

“It should be realized that now, if an association agreement between Ukraine and EU is signed, it will be needed to adapt the law. A number of documents of the European Union will be adopted as guiding for Ukraine, and it will be transformed a number of legislative acts under the requirements of the EU. In particular, it applies to port operations, environmental safety, fisheries and other things,” the expert noted.
